Entrepeneurship Vs 9 to 5 PT II

Entrepeneurship Vs 9 to 5 PT II

Before you begin reading take a second to ask yourself what being an Entrepreneur means to you? Or what having a 9 to 5 means to you? There are a lot of ways to answer BOTH questions and I am interested to hear your thoughts! Comment below if you have any feelings whatsoever once you have finished reading!

To ME having a 9 to 5 means having a safety net. Security! knowing I'm guaranteed to get paid every two weeks no questions asked. Feeling safe in having a health insurance plan, 403 B plan and great benefits. It means comfortability. Which I love and have known for majority of my life. However I would be lying if I didn't mention it killing my creative spirit sometimes. I have no creativity left when I'm stuck in the endless cycle of routine. Wake up, work, go home, sleep, repeat! How do you pull yourself out of that cycle? The cycle I love when its pay day! The cycle I love when I have paid time off! But, the cycle I envy when I know 50 hours has passed me by and I haven't put in at-least 5 HOURS of work into my business! Or anything else that matters to me.

Ahh comfortability, what a beautiful yet dangerous place to be. Not motivating you to do anymore than you need to but also keeping you afloat. That describes me. I begin to feel guilty when I go on a month hiatus from posting 2/3 times a day on my social media accounts. When the truth is I don't always have the time, or energy to keep up with the demand it takes to compete in this new world of being a full time "content-creator". Or is comfortability telling me I don't have what it takes?

While complaining about this mental battle I often experience, I was introduced to the Millionaire Mindset podcast. On the episode The 9 to 5 Millionaire w/ Mit Smith I was introduced to a new perspective. Mit Smith mentioned how your 9 to 5 is so important no matter how much money your business makes. As there is more to entrepreneurship than the glitz & glam! Keeping your 9 to 5 was important for when your business experiences slow seasons! But most importantly your 9 to 5 is important because it is the best way to take care of your responsibilities and FUND MY DREAMS

As always I will be honest and mention that I battle with a love/hate relationship with working for someone else! Although I am not where I desire to be YET. I am definitely a BOSS in my spirit. As I continue to learn I realized it starts with attitude and mindset. So although I am still relying on a job to provide a paycheck; I stay hungry, humble and consistent to drive me to reach the level of entrepreneurship I TRUELY DESIRE

If you have a dream, goal or ambition outside of your "Day Job" push through and keep your vision clear! Make an actionable plan and go for it. Don't feel pressured to subscribe to what is popular or trending. Stay true to you! Let your Job Fuel Your DREAMS! I promise they will come true.

Love Love Love This!
I am a full time entrepreneur, it’s been 4 years I’ve worked for myself; however, I sometimes get overwhelmed not having that security during the slow season. Being an owner operator has its perks but it is extremely taxing..I also fall short trying to keep up with the demand of “creating content” as free marketing. I often think of jumping back into the 9-5 world but I want it to be under my terms & conditions haha, which is unrealistic.
This was a great reflection piece for me!! Unless you have the financial backing, work that 9-5 & climb the ladder until your business can set you free! Apart from the financial gain, I believe that’s all we really want.. full control of our time!!

Thank You For This! Definitely Sharing!
